I practice "talk to myself", especially while driving. The problem is that when I can't find the right words, none is helping me.
I also joined a "walk & talk" group. Me meet on Mondays and talk about random topics. We have always a lots of fun and we help each other to find correct expression when needed.
That sounds like a great idea, but yes, it can be hard when no one is there to interact with you. So the 'walk & talk' sounds like the perfect complementary activity!
My rule of thumb is to role-play dialogues and various scenarios in my head. This way I feel secure and confident. What’s more, it helps me to reveal my weak points.

A nice approach!
