If your English feels stiff or stressful, it’s probably because you are missing the “connectors.”

These are small, functional phrases that native speakers use to:

  1. Buy Time: They allow your brain to pause without awkward silence.

  2. Signal Intention: They show the listener whether you agree, disagree, or are thinking.

  3. Soften Your Tone: They make your opinions sound like suggestions, not demands.

By adding these small “glue phrases,” you reduce your own stress because you don’t feel pressured to instantly form a perfect, long sentence.
