Have you ever looked at your bank account at the end of the month and thought, “Where did all my money go?” If the answer is yes, it might be time for you to tighten your belt.

What does it mean?

To tighten your belt means to spend less money than usual. We use this idiom when someone needs to be very careful with their budget because they don’t have enough money or because prices are going up.
