Have you ever noticed that native English speakers don’t pronounce every word in a sentence with the same force?

It’s true!

Some words are shouted (stressed) while others are whispered (unstressed).

This isn’t just random; it’s a vital part of English rhythm and, more importantly, it changes the meaning or focus of what you’re saying.

This is called sentence stress, and mastering it is a real game-changer for your fluency. It helps you get your point across without any confusion.

📸 Same Words, Different Focus

Let’s stick with our photography theme. Imagine you’re talking about a lovely picture you took. We’ll use the simple sentence: “I took a picture yesterday.”
