In the world of forecasting, we use different structures depending on how certain we are about the future.

  • “Going to” (The Solid Plan): Use this for goals you have already decided on. This is for your 90-day roadmap.

    • Example: “In Q2, I am going to focus on my presentation skills.” (You have already made this decision).

  • “Will” (The Prediction or Sudden Decision): Use this when you are forecasting based on trends or making an offer in the moment.

    • Example: “I think the market will grow by 5% in June.” (A prediction).

    • Example: “That looks like a lot of work; I will help you with that buffer.” (A sudden decision).
