"Troubled Youth": A term used to describe teenagers experiencing significant and persistent difficulties beyond typical adolescent behaviour, potentially involving legal issues, and often indicating underlying emotional, mental, or social challenges.
To immerse / To dive in / To take a deep dive: These expressions all relate to becoming deeply involved in something, particularly a subject or an activity like language learning.
"Language Junkie": An informal and humorous term for someone with an extreme and passionate interest in languages, indicating an almost obsessive enthusiasm for language learning.
Weakness / Stumbling block: Both terms refer to an obstacle or a difficulty that hinders progress.
To stall: To stop or delay progress.
"If it feeds the soul": An expression meaning something that brings deep satisfaction, happiness, or fulfilment.
