Think you know the differences between UK and US spelling?
Take the quiz!
English is an international language spoken around the world. However, depending on where you are, you might notice small differences in spelling. British English (UK) and American English (US) are the two most common forms. These differences can sometimes confuse learners, but they are fun to explore!
For example, you might see words like “labour” in the UK, while in the US, it is spelled “labor.” Or, the British may write “theatre,” while Americans write “theater.” Even small words like “colour” (UK) and “color” (US) show these variations.
But don’t worry! These differences don’t change the meaning of the words. Whether you use UK or US spelling, English speakers will still understand you.
Time for a Quiz! Let’s test your knowledge!
